Dominic Thompson
Music Director

Dominic is the Music Director for the Bloomington Community Band, a position he has held since 2018. He is also in his twenty-fourth year of teaching and his eighth year as Director of Bands at Northview High School in Brazil, Indiana

Dominic graduated from Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Evansville. He began his teaching career at Mater Dei High School and McGary Middle School in Evansville before completing a Master of Music Education at VanderCook College of Music in Chicago.

Following graduate school, he taught for 11 years at Owen Valley High School in Spencer, Indiana. Dominic resides in Terre Haute with his wife, Erin; their daughters, Anna and Cora; their son, Brady; and their cocker spaniel, Benson.
